Integrative mind-body approach
For women ready for a deeper approach to healing. When traditional therapy has not been enough, our whole-person care bridges counseling, nervous system regulation, and nurse coaching to help you move beyond coping and truly come home to yourself.
Whole-person healing tailored for women
When you understand your story but still feel stuck, healing requires more than talk therapy alone. We integrate evidence-based mental health counseling with somatic awareness and lifestyle medicine to address mind, body, and spirit.
Integrative counseling
Specialized women's mental health therapy reaching the subconscious layers and emotional roots that conventional talk therapy often cannot access alone.
Somatic Therapy and the Mind-Body Connection
Somatic awareness and nervous system regulation that release survival patterns, chronic tension, and trauma held deep within the physical body.
Somatic therapy recognizes that emotional experiences can affect the body as well as the mind. Stress, trauma, grief, and long-standing patterns of protection may show up as tension, fatigue, overwhelm, numbness, difficulty resting, disconnection, or a persistent sense of being on alert.
In somatic therapy, we pay attention to the relationship between thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, breath, movement, and the nervous system. Rather than relying only on insight or conversation, this approach creates space to notice what is happening in the present moment and develop new ways of responding with greater awareness and choice.
Cathy Armstrong integrates somatic therapy with women’s counseling in Corpus Christi, Texas. Sessions are tailored to your goals, comfort level, history, and readiness. You are never required to revisit an experience before you feel adequately supported to do so.
Holistic nurse coaching
Guidance grounded in plant-based nutrition science and women's health to restore your vitality, metabolic resilience, and physical well-being.
Holistic Counseling for Women
Beyond insight: support for the whole woman
Integrative counseling is not one rigid method or a one-size-fits-all treatment plan. It is a thoughtful approach that draws from evidence-informed counseling practices and mind-body methods to support the individual woman sitting in the room.
Your counseling may include talk therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, grounding practices, nervous-system regulation, trauma-informed care, emotional processing, values-based reflection, and practical support for daily life. When appropriate and desired, the work can also make room for questions of meaning, identity, spirituality, personal growth, and the life changes you are navigating.
The purpose is not to “fix” you or rush your healing. The purpose is to help you better understand your patterns, strengthen your internal resources, and move toward feeling more grounded, connected, and able to live in alignment with what matters to you.

Cathy Armstron is an integrative counselor, somatic therapist, registered nurse, educator, and ordained interfaith minister serving women in Corpus Christi, Texas and throughout Texas by telehealth.
Cathy’s work grew from a desire to offer more than a single-method approach to emotional wellbeing. She recognizes that healing can involve the mind, body, relationships, life experiences, culture, personal meaning, and—when important to the client—spirituality. Her practice brings together professional counseling, somatic therapy, nursing-informed wellness perspectives, and a deep respect for each woman’s individual story and values.
As a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered Nurse, Cathy brings a broad clinical foundation to her work with women experiencing stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, emotional exhaustion, relationship concerns, life transitions, and the feeling of being stuck despite previous therapy. Her counseling is trauma-informed, client-centered, and individualized.
Cathy has completed advanced professional training and certification in somatic therapy through three distinct approaches. She integrates somatic therapy into counseling to help clients explore the connection between emotional experiences, physical sensations, patterns of stress, and nervous-system responses. This work is offered at a pace that respects each client’s comfort, readiness, and goals.
Her commitment to whole-person care led Cathy to become an ordained interfaith minister and earn a doctorate in Religious Studies.
Her doctoral and ministerial studies deepened her lifelong interest in world healing traditions, multicultural diversity, world religions, contemplative practices, and the ways people create meaning during times of change, loss, and personal transformation.
Cathy welcomes women from diverse cultural, spiritual, religious, and nonreligious backgrounds. Spiritual or faith-informed exploration is never assumed or required. When a client wants to include it, Cathy provides respectful space to explore beliefs, values, identity, purpose, ritual, and personal connection to what is sacred or meaningful.
Her approach honors both conventional healthcare and complementary healing traditions. She believes women deserve counseling that is thoughtful, evidence-informed, culturally respectful, and open to the full complexity of their emotional, physical, and spiritual lives.
